Corey Melo

(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Corey Melo. Corey is a senior at New Bedford High School who last season won the New England 112-pound Wrestling championship becoming the first wrestler in Whaler history to win a regional title.

Corey is undefeated so far this season and recently recorded his 100-career win. Corey plans to continue his career next year at the college level and is being recruited by schools throughout New England.
