(WPRI) - This week's Cardi's Hometown Sports Hero is Alex Murphy. The South Kingstown native competed this Summer for Finland in the European U-20 championships, leading his team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots.

The chance to play for his mother’s native country a welcome return to the court for the former Prout and St. Mark’s standout, who red-shirted his freshman year at Duke.
