PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - South Kingstown won first Girls' Track State Title since 2001 and Westerly won the Boys' Championship for the first time ever Saturday in Providence.

Westerly senior Andrew Springer led the Bulldogs winning three events.  That brings his state trophy haul to eight this year including State Championships he won in cross country and indoor track.

On the girls' side, it was a battle between South Kingstown and defending champion La Salle all day long that the Rebels finally won at the end of the day.
