BARRINGTON, R.I. (WPRI) - The pro-am event went off despite a little drizzle Sunday at the CVS Caremark Charity Classic. Golf pros and celebrities took to the links.
"There's just a great group of people who come out," LPGA Tour pro Anna Grzebien said. "It's just nice to give back a little bit."
Grezbien is just one of many Rhode Islanders participating in this year's tournament. In fact, more Rhode Island golf pros will be in the event than ever before.
"It's a small miracle to have all these people from Rhode Island, and to have so many who are so good," tournament host Brad Faxon said.
"It's just a great cause," said Cumberland native Brad Adamonis. "They're getting all these people to sponsor a tournament. It's pretty awesome."
