(WPRI) Great golfing weather continues at Rhode Island Country Club today for the CVS Caremark Charity Classic.  High pressure to our northeast will continue to bring dry skies, low humidity and slightly cooler than average temperatures for mid-June.

The crisp start to the day, near 60 at 9 a.m., will give way to a comfortable afternoon with highs near 72.  Sun will mix with occasional clouds.  Winds will be light from the east this morning then southeast this afternoon at 5-10 mph.

The temperatures tomorrow will be a bit warmer with slightly higher humidity.  We’ll begin the day in the 60s with some patchy early morning fog… it will thin to mainly sunny skies with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s.  Winds will be a bit breezy by afternoon with southerly gusts 10-20 mph.

Luckily, the searing heat and humidity will arrive after the tournament ends, with the hottest stretch of weather so far this year slated for Wednesday through Friday.
