BOSTON (WPRI) - Very few hockey coaches make it to the Olympics, but U.S. head man Ron Wilson has made it there twice after growing up right here in East Providence.

"It was a great experience," Wilson, also the coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, said when he was back in New England last week as his team faced off against the Boston Bruins.

"More than anything, you get to represent your country.  You're very proud, and then to play as hard as we did makes me even prouder."

Wilson got e-mails throughout his Olympic experience from friends and former teammates right here in the Ocean State.

"You forget how many people follow your career and live your fantasies through you," Wilson said.
