KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) - Ramone Moore scored 22 points and Aaron Brown had 15 points off the bench to help Temple cruise past Rhode Island in a 73-56 win on Saturday.
Khalif Wyatt added 16 points for the Owls (17-5, 6-2 Atlantic 10), who extended their longest winning streak this season to six games.
Temple never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 27-11 lead in the first half after back-to-back layups by Anthony Lee. The Owls pushed their advantage to 19 points — their largest of the game — when Wyatt knocked down two free throws with 3:05 left to play.
Jonathan Holton scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Rams (5-19, 2-7), who had their two-game winning streak snapped. Nikola Malesevic had 12 points and Billy Baron added 11.
Temple shot 51.8 percent (29 of 56) from the floor, holding Rhode Island to 36 percent (18 of 50).
