(WPRI) - Two Rhode Islanders were drafted Wednesday in the MLB Draft.
Johnston's native Jimmy Gillheeney, who is now a junior at North Carolina State, was selected by the Seattle Mariners with the 233rd overall pick.
Gillheeney is a pitcher who used to play for Hendricken.
Also picked was Lincoln's Danny Rhault. He went to the Tampa Bay Rays in the 26th round of the 50 round draft.
Rhault played for URI and was A-10 player of the year.
