PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Goalie Alex Beaudry was named defensive player of the month back in October when he led the Friars to wins over nationally ranked Notre Dame and UMass.
Since then, he's continued his fine play ranking second in Hockey East in save percentage and third in goals against average.
But Beaudry, a sophomore, is still growing with every game on the ice.
"The big thing last year was finding consistancy," Beaudry told Eyewitness Sports after a recent practice. "This year I've focused on being more consistant, and I've found that. It'll be a matter of keeping that consistancy to be the best player I can be."
Beaudry is part of a very young PC squad. 17 players are freshman or sophomores, and that group's development will determine how much the Friars can succeed in the future.
"Our future, we think is very bright," head coach Tim Army said.
