BOSTON (WPRI) - The Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins will head to the White House later this month.

President Obama will honor the team at a ceremony on January 23rd.

The Bruins beat the Vancouver Canucks last June to win their first Stanley Cup in almost 40 years.

During the ceremony, the President will also recognize the efforts of the Boston Bruins Foundation, which has raised millions for several New England charities.
