(WPRI) - North Kingstown's Elizabeth Beisel will get her best remaining chance today to add an event to her Olympic resume.
Beisel finished second in the 200-meter backstroke semifinals Saturday to advance to Sunday's finals.
She will have to finish first or second in the race to qualify to swim the event for the U.S. in London.
Beisel already qualified for the Olympic team by winning the 400-meter individual medley at the swim trials.
Beisel is a previous national champion in the 200 back and competed in the event at the Beijing Olympics finishing fifth.
