Beisel named to U.S. National Team

UNDATED (WPRI) - Former North Kingstown High School swimming standout Elizabeth Beisel will once again represent her country in the pool.

Beisel was named to the 2010-11 U.S.A. Swimming Team Tuesday along with famous faces Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin.  See the full list here .

Beisel is coming off a great summer where she won two gold medals at the Pan Pacific Championships.  She also won gold in the 200m backstroke at the National Championships this year.

Beisel's goal is to make it back to the Olympics in 2012 in London.  She competed in her first Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
