(WPRI) -- North Kingstown's Elizabeth Beisel was back in the pool Tuesday at the U.S. Olympic swim trials in Omaha, Neb.
After winning the 400-meter individual medley on Monday and qualifying for the Olympic team, Beisel raced in the 400-meter freestyle preliminaries and finals on Tuesday.
Beisel finished fifth with a time of 4:07.29.
Allison Schmitt from Canton, Mich. was 4 and half seconds better than Beisel in winning the race.
Beisel has more chances as the trials continue this week. She is considered one of the favorites in the 200-meter individual medley and is scheduled to compete in a half dozen other events.
