Dive into a land of imagination in Pawtucket at the Hope Artiste Village. The Rhode Show took at trip to the colorful and creative The Story Emporium .
The Story Emporium was the brainchild of Erin Whalen.
"I’m an author and illustrator for children, and I invited my other author illustrator friends to come in and tell stories to kids and sign books."
Erin also shares her art process with the young visitors "When I do explain it to them and then they tell me their art process its more of an exchange for ideas I get to see what they do and they get to see what I do. I don't really teach them anything we teach each other."
Youngsters sit amongst the over sized and colorful couches, imaginations running wild.
The Story Emporium is located at 1005 Main Street Suite 8216 Pawtucket RI 02860, and is open Tuesday 9-1/ Wednesday 4-7 p.m. / Thursday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. / Friday 9 a.m. - 1p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. -2 p.m.
