(WPRI) - He was in the hit movie "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" , and now local actor Robert Capron has another big movie coming out, The Three Stooges.

Rhode Island's own Farrelly Brothers released their newest movie in over 3,000 theaters nationwide.

Robert, who is from Scituate, played "Young Curly" in the movie. He loves acting, and says it actually says it helps him a lot in middle school.

"It's an absolute blast," said Capron."And it's really funny because the thing is my friends when they first found out that I was in movies like this they were shocked, but now they're just used to it."

He will be featured in a third Wimpy movie in August.

Robert will also be in "Frankenweenie" in October, directed by the world-famous Tim Burton. Capron said that meeting Tim Burton was a life-changing experience.

"Honestly, when I first met him, after I said hi I started freaking out," said Capron. "I was like 'You directed Batman! That's awesome!' I was literally flipping out."
