Wedding categories added to Best of RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. ( WPRI) - As Rhode Island Monthly searches for the "Best of Rhode Island" , they've added new categories this year, naming the "Best of" for weddings in Rhode Island.

Some of the new categories include: Best Wedding Music, Best Reception Site, Best Place to Get Wedding/Bridesmaids Dresses, Best Photographer and Best Wedding Rings and Jewelry.

M.R.T. Jewelers in East Providence has been pleasing brides and grooms for nearly a century.

"The business started in nineteen-eighteen as a service center for some of the larger and more national retailers in the area. The business, M.R.T Jewelers, was born out of the back room, the workshop," said David Audette, Vice President of M.R.T. Jewelers.

The one on one service helps customers feel at home.

"We also spend a lot of time with our customers.  We don't try to sell them something ever.  We're really attempting to help them, assist them, in choosing the perfect ring," continued Audette.

M.R.T. Jewelers has a design workshop with of the some of the best craftsman in the business who create custom pieces and re-purpose old jewelry.
