(WPRI) - The excitement of StyleWeek Providence continues at The Biltmore Hotel, with shows scheduled throughout the weekend.
Toni Lyn Spaziano's show was Thursday night, and she joined The Rhode Show to talk more about it.
About the designer:
Toni Lyn Spaziano , a native of Warwick, RI, launched her brand, Chances R Designs almost a year ago. Toni has loved fashion design since she was 13 and chose to pursue it full time after being inspired by Chance, a courageous little person with special needs.
Toni's mostly self-taught, with only a bit of formal training from Rhode Island School of Design's (RISD) College of Continuing Education and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Local runway shows have showcased her work and several regional magazines have featured her incredible story.
StyleWeek Providence marks the debut of Toni's first ready-to-wear collection. Channeling vintage fashion for inspiration, the line draws from the 1950's and 60's, while incorporating contemporary elements. It is Upper East Side chic meets "Mad Men."
The modern woman who appreciates classic style will love Toni's designs. For this collection, she worked with natural and versatile fabrics including cotton, wool, silk and tweed. Toni's pieces can go from day to evening, a critical consideration for the modern career woman. She needs outfits that can transform from office to cocktail party in minutes.
