(WPRI) - We all love social media, but new research shows you may actually be addicted to it. That's according to a new study from The University of Chicago. It suggests that for some, the urge to constantly "check-in" on Twitter and Facebook may be an addiction.
The study followed the willpower of participants for more than a week. It found some of the strongest personal urges were to log in, "check-in" to certain locations, e-mail and tweet. The study suggests these urges are even stronger than the desire to light up a cigarette or drink alcohol.
Discussion: Do you think social media is addicting?
