Susan Hogan explains where to find best deals

(WPRI) - Let's face it, we all love a bargain. And half the fun is finding new online websites that deliver the goods.

Problem Solver Susan Hogan joined The Rhode Show to talk about how to find the best sales and how to shop the outlets hidden inside many online retailer's websites.

"We've discovered on many major retailers websites, like Best Buy , they have an "outlet center" under "shops and deals". You have to search for it, but it's there and so are some amazing deals! You've got deals of the day, last chance deals and refurbished deals," said Susan.

Crateandbarrell.com also has an outlet.

"Most of which are discontinued items. But still, they're great deals, and who cares if they're last seasons colors, they may still be yours!"

Susan recommended to always start in the clearance section first.

"You never know what you may find!"

These days, many people are looking for online deals for shoes too.

"Shoes are a hot item for women, especially designer shoes at discounted prices."

One website worth visiting is onlineshoes.com/outlet .

"The reason why I like this website is that shipping no matter what, is always a flat $5 and you can return up to a year from purchase."

There's also a great website for deals on wine.

" Cellarthief.com . They have what's called "flash" sales that start at midnight eastern time and run 24 hours. They do all the work for us, looking around for great deals on great wines. Shipping starts at $5.00."

Another good tip to remember, some retailers do offer bigger sales at certain times?

"You need to bookmark them and check often and know their code words. Or sign up for email alerts like I do. For example, BathandBodyWorks.com , during their "Hello, Yellow" sales, you could save up to 75%. The secret here? Click, "discontinued fragrances" at the bottom of the page for big savings on their classic fragrances."

For the mom's, check out diapers.com .

"They have 2-3 sales a year with discounts up to 40 percent off. It includes brands that rarely don't go on sale, also look for the sale section with items up to 75% off!"
