Every woman needs a great pair of jeans in her closet, but it can be difficult finding the right pair that will fit their body type.

Personal stylist, Jill Marinelli joined The Rhode Show to share a few tips on selecting jeans.

Marinelli said the demand for a great pair of denim is at the top of her clients’ lists. She suggested that every woman own at least one pair of designer jeans.

“There’s a huge difference, obviously the price is higher, but a friend of mine says ‘they transform your body’.”

Women should spend time finding the right fit and ask salespeople and stylists for help.

Marinelli brought in coated denim in green and black. These jeans have a shine to them and can give the illusion that the leg is wider.

“If you’re someone who’s very self conscious about your leg area you probably don’t want to do a coded jean,” said Marinelli.

For women that are unsure what kind of denim to buy, Jill suggested an even dark wash, boot cut jean. A pair with a wide bottom will even out hips, skinny jeans can work for full hips if paired with boots.

Designer jeans can be dressed up and down. When trying on jeans, Marinelli says that they should fit snug because as they will stretch out with each wear.
