PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The City Bride event is happening Friday night at the Providence Public Library.

Brides and grooms will have the opportunity to meet with vendors, sample food and enjoy themselves.

Event coordinator Ken Maccarone, put the City Bride event together and said there’s a lot for brides to look forward to.

“City Bride is a completely different type of bridal event. It’s not a bridal show, you’re not coming in, you’re not being bombarded by these vendors. It’s about getting to meet the vendors, getting to know them.”

The event is not only for brides, but for grooms as well. It's from 6-9 p.m. at the Providence Public Library. There'll be passed hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, live music from Wayz and Means and more.

TLC's Next Great Baker, Ryan Cimorelli will also be there making a wedding cake throughout the event.

This year at City Bride there are three prize packages that will help any bride plan their day and new life together! By registering and attending the City Bride Event brides will automatically be entered to win one of our the prize packages.

TLC's highest rating wedding show, Four Weddings , will hold a live casting call at City Bride.

Jimmy Floyd, the casting director for TLC's Four Weddings, said they want to meet all brides. Brides of all ages are welcome to attend.

“We’re looking for with our brides, are brides that own their day, that love what they’ve chosen to do. So, if it’s a small wedding and it’s in your backyard and you love that; that’s the bride that we want on our show,” said Floyd.

There is still time to register for this free event, click here for more information.
