PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Runway shows have been going on all week long at the Biltmore Hotel in Providence, and Friday is the final night of StyleWeek NorthEast.
"We have had a lot of old designers showing this week as well as newcomers. So we're about 50 percent of our veteran designers and 50 percent new. So, it's been really great to show the community all of the talent that is emerging in the region," said Rosanna Ortiz Sinel, Founder of StyleWeek NorthEast.
Hope MacDonald, a RIS-D grad will kick of Friday night's runway show. Hometown favorite, Jonathan Joseph Peters, will be closing the evening.
Hope said her line has kind of a "jungle vibe" and that her inspiration came when she found the fabrics.
Also available for fashion-goers Friday night is The Accessories Showcase.
The showcase will be in L'Apogee in The Providence Biltmore on the 17th and 18th floors from 4-9 p.m.
The Accessory Showcase is open to the public, with no ticket purchase. All Accessory designers will be available for sales.
Redken is the official hair sponsor of StyleWeek and has played a significant part in styling the models on the runway.
"All of the amazing hair stale styles you have seen are created our artistic team and the Redken hair products. Tonight specifically, we're actually going to be featuring our new breakthrough hair color Chromatics. It's an ammonia-free, permanent color at Jonathan's show, on all of his models. We've very excited. If the viewers at home would like to see it or experience it, they can go to Redken.com, explained Christina Robbio of Redken.
