So you are not an Olympian, but that does not mean you cannot sport the Olympic style!
On Wednesday’s Rhode Show, personal stylist Jill Marinelli and local mom blogger Audrey McClelland visited the set to share their Olympic style ideas with viewers.
The first style pick Marinelli introduced was the Ralph Lauren Olympic tote bag. For the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, Ralph Lauren designed Team USA’s Olympian uniforms.
“Bring it to the beach, said Marinelli. "Bring it as a weekender bag. It’s just easy and fun and you can show your support for the athletes.”
For her second choice, Marinelli showed viewers the Alex and Ani Olympic line with red, white, and blue USA bangles.
“They are affordable and range from $32 to $38," said Marinelli. "Super fun, again, to show your support.”
Besides the classic red, white and blue look, Marinelli shares with viewers a different way to wear your Olympic support, and even show the medal Team USA deserves!
“This nail polish by butter LONDON is gold, silver and bronze," said Marinelli. "They are calling it the Heavy Medal Collection, so you show your support and you have your nails be the color of whatever is your favorite medal.”
As for McClelland, she loved a well-known make-up line’s Olympic beauty line.
“ COVERGIRL has a limited edition Olympic line right now, said McClelland. You can tell if it is part of the limited edition collection because it will actually have the rings right on the package.”
Along with the Olympian beauty, McClelland shared her vintage Olympic-sported tee-shirts that can be purchased at The Gap .
“I love them because, again, it is a great way to support, but it is also a very fashionable way to support,” said McClelland.
And for those who want to swim like an Olympian, maybe sporting one of Speedo’s Olympic swim suits will do the trick.
“This is the Team Speedo collection; I love the red, white and blue, said McClelland. My kids are swimmers, my nieces, so I love it.”
Whether you are at out on the town or in the water, there are various ways to wear your support for Team USA!
