Designer spotlight: Susan Troy

StyleWeek continues in the capital city where regional designers are able to showcase their collections on the runway. Designer, Susan Troy showed her looks on Thursday night.

Susan said that StyleWeek was a great experience on and off the runway.

“StyleWeek was wonderful. It was a great format to be able to showcase all of my designs and my work that I just love so much to do,” said Susan.

A unique inspiration is what created such a creative collection.

“The inspiration for this was that I had taken a photograph from a vacant mill, and I didn’t realize it until I looked at my computer that there was a piece of fabric that was hanging in this dark mill, and I liked the juxtaposition of that."

This collection stuck with one particular color palate.

“I look at color trend forecasting for next year and then I tweak it a little bit," she said.
