Company unites females through apparel

Races, carpools, schedules, and businesses all have one thing in common: they're run by women! One company is doing its part to unite women and girls through apparel.

‘Women Run’ is a line of lifestyle apparel created by women.

“I started to develop a line of T-shirts and raise money for charities that support women and girls,” said Kyra Lawton, founder of Women Run.

They’ve taken their sales on the road to various races across the country where a percentage of sales are donated to a charity in that area.

‘Women Run’ is not just for runners.

“It started out as just wanting to create fun, whimsical pieces and the side affect of creating such a contagious brand that’s affecting women is all the feedback we’re getting from women,” Lawton said.

Women and girls have found the brand to be an outlet and a unifying site. Many of them share personal stories of triumph and accomplishment through running.

“We’re giving them the encouragement and support to do things they haven’t thought about doing before,” she added.
