While the kids are going back to school, fall is a great time for women to head back to beauty school. Familiarizing yourself on how to use different cosmetic tools and products can revamp your look.
Kirsten Brusse from My Joli Visage makeup artistry visited with advice on what to have on hand and how to apply it.
1) Eyebrows:
Eyebrows really frame your face. If you do only one thing, get your eyebrows shaped by a pro and then fill them in if necessary. Use a powder and a brush to fill them in with short even strokes. Eyebrows are the picture frame to your face. If you only do one thing, go get your eyebrows shaped by a pro. Then fill them in with brow powder for a perfect brow. I like Anastasia Brow Powder. Apply in short, even strokes mimicking brow hairs. Start where your lashes need filling in the most then run the rest of the powder through your entire brow.
Product: Anastasia Brow Powder and angled brush.
2) Eyelash Curler:
This is the best eyelash curler. Set the curler at the base of your lash line and gently squeeze and release, working your way up your lashes. This makes a huge difference.
Product: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
3) Concealer:
Concealer can work miracles if used the right way. Choose a shade that is only one shade lighter than your skin-tone and apply only where needed. Use it under your eyes and anywhere redness occurs - blemishes, around the nose, outer corner of eyes. Redness makes us look tired.
Product: Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics
4) Bronzer:
Bronzer evens out your skin tone and gives you a healthy glow. Apply it in a backwards 3 motion, where the sun would naturally hit your face - temples, cheekbones, top of nose, and top of chin.
Product: Hoola Bronzer by Benefit.
5) Blush:
Apply to apples of cheeks where your skin naturally flushes. Smile and pop on blending outwards.
Product: Bella Bamba Blush by Benefit.
