(WPRI) - Stella Marie Soap Company is scheduled to open a brick and mortar store on October 5.
The soap company has been known for providing its locally made soaps to the Greater Providence area for the past five years. Stella Marie is also the proud recipient of a Best of Rhode Island award from Rhode Island Monthly.
"A lot of people start making soaps because they have adverse reactions to different products that are out in the market," Gonzaga explained about why she started the Stella Marie Soap Company. "But for me, it was about curiosity and it became an addiction."
Some of their products include artisan soap, body scrubs, bath bombs, bath salts, lip balms, body butters, massage bars and novelty soaps.
With the expansion of the company comes an entire line of new products. These new products include handcrafted candles, ceramics, glass, jewelry, books, rubber duckies , tea towels, bathrobes and accessories.
All handmade items are made with local supplies and created by local artists in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
The new shop will be located in the Warren, Rhode Island shopping district.
The grand opening will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 5. The opening will include a formal ribbon cutting and a wine and cheese reception. All items in the shop will be available for purchase.
"I'm so excited to open a brick and mortar store," Gonzaga told the Rhode Show "It's always been my dream."
