PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The 2012 Southeastern New England Golf Expo is partnering with the Rhode Island Professional Golfers Association and the Boys and Girls Club of Providence to start a New Junior Golf Section.
The goal of this new program is to develop programs throughout the state that will expose children to golf and improve their access to the game. It is geared towards youth who may not have the opportunity to experience the sport.
There will also be a new Junior Golf Section exhibit at the Expo where children will have the chance to check-out and test specialized equipment and gear.
The Expo is expected to attract over 7,500 attendees and will have more than 60 exhibitors as well as interactive displays, seminars, and golf-related attractions for everyone.
New for the 2012 Expo is the expansion of the retail space so everyone can enjoy more shopping and testing of new equipment.
The 2012 Southeastern New England Golf Expo will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center on Saturday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door for $9 each (children under 12 are free) or through AAA for $7 if you are a member.
