A local non-profit is working to benefit storm-impacted residents by setting up storm shelters, and they're reaching out to the public for help in achieving their goal.

Executive Director, Bernie    Beaudreau of "Serve Rhode Island" joins the Rhode Show

Serve Rhode Island tells us they're looking for on-call volunteers to help with Red Cross emergency shelters in Charlestown, Cumberland, Middletown, Jamestown, Tiverton, Warwick, and Barrington.

The shelters will be opening at 7 a.m. Monday - Thursday.

In addition to helping with the shelters, volunteers will also assist with the United Way 2-1-1 phone calls from affected residents.

For more information or to sign up as a volunteer, visit Serve Rhode Island's website.
