(WPRI) -- The Mighty Ergo Shovel is another one of those products that you may have heard about.

It claims it'll make shoveling snow easier, so we at The Rhode Show wanted to find out if the ads were true or if we'd just be buried in the snow.

It's been a long cold winter, and the snow has been piling up in Southern New England. So what happens if you don't have a plow or snow blower?

That's when the Mighty Ergo Shovel claims it can help. It's called the ultimate "bend free" ergonomic shovel.

We tested it out against a standard shovel with some guys cleaning the streets of Providence. Our first tester was Lance DaCruz who had been moving the heavy weight of the snow all day.

"This one I like because you don't have to bend," he said. “It's heavy, but it gets right to the bottom and it works good.”

The Mighty Ergo Shovel is made of all steel and aluminum, and says it will minimize fatigue on your back.

Tester number two, Stanley Gawarecki, was using a garden shovel to move the snow before we had him try out our shovels.

“There is no bending to it.  It has better reach," he said.

The Mighty Ergo Shovel comes it two different sizes and two different colors, and they run about $67.

Will found it really easy to use and that it made moving even the heavy snow around easier, so he gives the Mighty Ergo Shovel four out of five stars.

It also was well made, and felt like it could handle just about anything.

If you have a product you want to buy but just aren't sure if it will live up to the claims, let us know and we will test it out and see "Will It Work?"
