PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- WaterFire is one of the best events the Ocean State has to offer every summer, and this Saturday's full lighting in Providence will not be one to miss.
This week's event will feature a variety of entertainment, including salsa dancing, scavenger hunts, oragami and more!
Free salsa dancing lessons from Tony Felix and Jeannie Oki will be available from 7 to 8 p.m. at the TD Bank Ballroom, located at the intersection of Westminster and Weybosset Streets. Then, from 8 p.m. until midnight, dance the night away to the music of Ray Rivera con Sabor Latino, with demonstrations from Mambo Pa Ti and Salsa y Control at 9:40 p.m. and 10:50 p.m.!
Also on Saturday, Fidelity Investments present the return of oragami cranes to WaterFire ! Fidelity employees have spent months folding thousands of paper cranes, which will be distributed to WaterFire attendees.
"They're sort of a collector's item, some people have every year," said WaterFire creator Barnaby Evans.
Participants can also learn how to fold their own cranes at the Fidelity Crane Folding Tent, located at the intersection of College and North Main Streets from 7 to 10 p.m.
Head to Providence this Saturday night for all of the cultural fun, which also includes a scavenger hunt presented by AT&T, a salute to Teach for America, and some great giveaways from Mohegan Sun!
