(WPRI) - A 10-year-old boy from West Warwick is now friends with rock royalty.

On January 27, Cole Grace was hospitalized with a brain tumor diagnosis that was soon identified as a Grade IV Glioblastoma, and has since had three brain surgeries.

While in the hospital, Cole was able to Skype with his hero, Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler.

Steven and Cole had a long conversation and sang Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" together.

Steven, who is now one of the judges on Fox’s “American Idol”, also mentioned Cole during one of the nationally-televised episodes a few weeks ago.

Cole and his family could not have been any happier that he was able to do it and make Cole’s dream come true.

Cole, along with his parents and his sister, Hunter, joined The Rhode Show to talk about an event that is being put together for Cole.

It's called, “Rock 'n' Roll For Cole” and is being held at Mardi Gras, located at 1500 Oaklawn Ave, Cranston, on Sunday April 22 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door.

Food will be provided by Meritage, Chardonnay's, D Palmieri’s, Meal Works and other local restaurants who want to show their love and support for Cole and his family.

The event will also feature a raffle with prizes donated by over 100 companies, as well as a silent auction.

Former 3-time Patriots Super Bowl Champ and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi will be speaking.

Several bands will be performing at the event, including Rug Burn, None Perfect, Hemlock, Slam. Some local comics will also lend their support, including Jeremy Furtado, Ray Harrington.
