(WPRI) -- Next month, Attleboro's Capron Park Zoo will be holding their annual fundraiser to help with various projects, including bringing new animals for the public to enjoy.
This year's theme is "Passport to Rio", and it's put together by the Friends of the Capron Park Zoo , the primary fundraising organization for the zoo.
"We help out with capital projects, like the white lions, like the 'Splashpad', and then this summer we've brought in a white alligator," said David Spenciner, President of Friends of Capron Park Zoo .
Last year's event brought the public "Passport to Africa", and this year the zoo will be transformed into a Rio di Janeiro theme, complete with Brazilian food, music, and dancing.
Also, since many of the zoo's animals are nocturnal, they will actually be more active at night!
The event will be held on Saturday, September 22, from 7 to 10 p.m. It's not a family event, attendees must be 21+.
Tickets and more information can be found at the zoo's gift shop, as well as online at The Capron Park Zoo website.
