The “Rhode Show” co-host who started it all has returned. Shawn Tempesta, the familiar TV and radio personality, returned to The Rhode Show set Monday to discuss his career since the launch of the “Rhode Show” in 2009.

During his interview with current “Rhode Show” hosts, Tempesta shared his thoughts on the whirlwind of change he has seen in his career.

“It’s really weird thinking of where I was in ‘09 and where I am now," Tempesta said. "It is strange."

His passion for media began at the young age of eight when he first explored a local TV studio. When current “Rhode Show” hosts asked of his involvement in media, Tempesta said he has never viewed it as a chore, rather as a creative outlet.

“I love doing this fun, creative TV, and I try to make it as fun and creative everyday as possible,” Tempesta said.
Currently Tempesta is a part-time host for the “Morning Blend” in Las Vegas, a life-style talk show, and a host of a radio show on Mix 94.1.

“I got very lucky,” Tempesta said, when asked of his present endeavors.

When asked of favorite memories while co-hosting “The Rhode Show,” Tempesta attempted to narrow down his list and name a few.

“Going behind the scenes of all the game shows, like Idol,' Tempesta said. "And it is so sad that it just happened last week, Ernest Borgnine. I love that man. He was the nicest, nicest guy.”

Tempesta interviewed Borgnine back in 2009 while the actor was in Rhode Island for a film debut, and the actor sadly passed away last week.

Where Tempesta’s remarkable career will take him next is uncertain; however there is one thing that will always be for certain, in Tempesta’s opinion.

“Rhode Islanders are the best!” Tempesta said, with great enthusiasm and a smile.
