Two time Olympic gold medalist Brandi Chastain has partnered with Libby's Fruits and Vegetables to inspire kids to eat healthy.

"What I love about the program that Libby's Fruits and Vegetables is running is talking about healthy lifestyles, being active, all things that are really important to me throughout my whole career," said Chastain.

The soccer player said that, as a mother, she tries to live by example for her children.

"I try to get as much rest as possible, I do my best to have the best nutrition, and exercise of course."

Brandi has teamed up with Libby's Fruits and Vegetables to get her message out across the country. Most recently, the team stopped at North Providence.

With the help of Libby's Fruits and Vegetables, Brandi presented a check for $5,000 to the North Providence soccer association .

"Anytime you can get involved with an organization that supports young kids, and doing something healthy is great. Add on top of that a donation to the North Providence U soccer league is icing on the cake for me," said Chastain.

The President of North Providence soccer, Tony Fernades , was more than thankful.

"Oh that money is needed. It goes to a lot of the equipment. As you know, the economy now a days, it just goes a long way,"

Mayor Charles Lombardi of North Providence came to the event as well to show his support.

"... To introduce a new program for the health and welfare of our community and our players, I'm lost for words."

Libby's Fruit and Vegetables, along with Brandi Chastain, will continue working with many youth soccer leagues throughout the country, to help create a healthy lifestyle for children.
