We all love a good book in the summer - so why not try out some locally inspired books. Margie Reed from Barrington Books brought along some of her favorites.

For Children's  books:

Pigs Love Potatoes by Anika and Christoopher Denise - by a husband and wife team from Barrington. This book focuses on counting, as well as a story about sharing.

Bats at the Ballgame by Brian Lies -  Parents will love reading this book. The bats are beautifully drawn,  and surprisingly, readers will end up liking the bats.

For Young Adult:

The Time Traveling Fashionista - On Board The Titanic by Bianca Turetsky - A young woman finds a gown, and is transported onto the Titanic.

Theodore Boone - The Abduction by John Grisham - A young man tries to solve a mystery. Perfect for teenage boys.

For Adult Readers:

Between The Lines Jodi Picoult  & Samantha Van Leer (Mother & Daughter) - A teenage girl who loves books, has a fairy tale dream come true.

Drifting:  Two Weeks on the Hudson by Mike Freeman - A story about how America is currently going through a midlife crisis.
