(WPRI) - Medi Weight Loss patient Jennifer Nemirow demonstrates how to spice up a healthy meal.
After 10 weeks on the Medi-Weightloss Program , jennifer nemirow is beaming! She invited me over to show me one of her favorite recipes.
"One of my favorites, I make my chicken avocado salsa dish. I just take a chicken breast, coat it on both sides with cumin, garlic powder, you can add other spices if you want. Put a little olive oil in the pan, just sear it about five minutes, flip it, then put a cup of salsa in it, cover it, let it steam, let it sit on the stove for about fifteen minutes. In the meantime cut up your avocado, the chicken's done, on the dish, put your avocado on top. Put the salsa on top, delicious."
As simple as that you have dinner, and the next day's lunch is for 160 calories each.
Jen said that she often makes two servings, so that she will have enough meals for two days. She said that the key to cooking is utilizing lots of flavorful spices. Jen said that she continues to learn to how to change her life, and even though she occasionally struggles, she continues to make great progress.
"I am still feeling good. Still really confident and health has never been better uh, the best change is that clothes are really loose on me. So I get to go buy new clothes are are two sizes too small than they were."
