Reiki treatment relaxes, calms the body

The importance of a cool down

Cooling down is very important and should be done after every workout.

Owner of Mind Body Barre , Ando Vernaglia, visited the set to demonstrate the cool down process from her studio.

The signature Reiki cool down at Mind Body Barre is favored by clients.

“Reiki is basically an ancient Japanese healing energy,” said Vernaglia.

She is a certified Reiki one practitioner and uses lavender oil in her cool down process. The cool down can be used at home, in the office, or anywhere that you may be feeling stress.

“It’s a perfect way to decompress from anything that’s going on and especially after a really long workout when you’ve worked every muscle in your body this just feels amazing to cool down to,” Vernaglia said.

Sit down on a chair or lay down on the floor while rubbing lavender oil between your hands. A few deep breaths will relieve any stress while taking in the scent of the oil.

Clients release the stress and tension after workouts and are able to clear their minds and relax through the Reiki cool down.

“Our studio strongly emphasizes the mind body spirit connection so we really believe that you can’t compartmentalize those pieces of your life so you can’t just work out your body without really thinking about what’s going on in your mind emotionally and spiritually,” said Vernaglia.
