The summertime is the best time to ramp up your abs routine! Bathing suits can be a scary thought for many people, but a core-based fitness program can help tone the tummy.
Jeannie Reilly-Martingano is founder of JeannieFit Core Based Fitness and creator of the “Focus Point Method” and she visited the set to talk about the program and give a demonstration.
To help with the demo, she brought along dance fitness instructor, Sean Reid.
The focal point of the body can be found by locating the top of your hips and tracing a line to the center of your stomach.
Jeannie says that engaging this area is essential to workout. Combining the focus with a crunch and a plyometric jump can intensify the abdominal workout.
“This is really how I get those abs fired up” said Jeannie.
Jeannie says the purpose is all about changing people’s lives through working out in one of her programs: Hip Hop U and Kick My Abs. She will be offering a free demo on Friday, July 20 at 7:15 p.m. at Christina Rondeau Kickboxing in Johnston.
She will also be offering instructor training and an introduction to hip hop fitness and the focal point method on Saturday, July 21 starting at 9 a.m..
