(WPRI) - The Worm Ladies of Charlestown is owned my Nancy Warner , who started owning worms to help with flies by her rabbit manure.

Nancy and her friend decided they needed to let people know how worms benefit gardeners and composters. They also became aware of how the worms benefit the need to prevent food waste and more from going to the landfill.

Nancy says that the worms and their unique ability to provide a great organic soil enhancer that is more beneficial than store bought fertilizers, and that this, in turn, will protect the ponds that are prevalent in Rhode Island.

The worms will reduce your garbage and provide you with the soil enhancer.

The Worm Ladies sell worms, castings (worm poop), worm bins, and books. Their products are sold online , at the Charlestown location, at Farmers Markets, and community events.
