PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Providence’s own Ethan and Dylan Itkin’s love for movies motivated them to start their own movie blog “Flick and Flack Movie Talk. ”
“We started our website and we review movies and I think it’s fun to post articles and I like writing and movies to that’s why I like it,” said Dylan.
These brothers spend their free time watching films, writing in their blog, and reading movie magazines and books. They are so well versed in movies that they were asked to help out at the Providence Children’s Film Festival .
“We have gone to all three of the film festivals and the first year we just interviewed kids and people that work that the festival and employees at the festival with our flip camera, but for last year's festival and this year's festival we got to be jurors and review films,” said Ethan.
Ethan and Dylan believe that all ages will enjoy the Children’s Film Festival. Magic Silver and The Secret Letter were two movies that stood out the most to the brothers for this year’s festival.
"Magic Silver I thought was a really really great film, I think it was the best of the festival this year and possibly all the years,” said Ethan.
Both of the brothers aspire to be movie directors for all different kinds of movies when they grow up.
"I want to be a movie director, also, maybe with Ethan and yea, I agree, I kind of want to make lots of different kinds of films, kind of like Steven Spielberg because he is my favorite director, but I want to direct different kinds of films," said Dylan.
