Ice Cream throwdown comes to Providence
A dozen ice cream makes compete for top prize

An ice cream throw-down is taking place in Wayland Square this weekend. The throw-down will determine the champion of the Ice Cream Rhode Island Food Fight.
A dozen of the best ice cream makers in the state have been asked to participate in the First Annual Incredible Ice Cream Throwdown. The contest will be judged by a group of celebrity judges, as well as by attendees.
More than 700 people are expected to attend the throwdown in Providence.
If you are interested in attending the throwdown, it's happening on Providence's East Side in Wayland Square on July 21.
