Four Paws Pet Resort offers a one stop location for all your pets' needs.
"Four Paws came to Rhode Island in 2003 when we acquired the property here on Warwick avenue, and our history goes back all the way to the early twenties when my grandfather came over from Ireland and we started up in Boston," said Charles Callanan, the Director of Four Paws Pet Resort.
From grooming to advanced medical care, Four Paws Pet Resort in Warwick is everything pet owners need under one roof.
"Everybody on the staff has medical training," Callanan said. "So we are all tuned in to identify problems before they become big issues."
No medical issue is too small or too big.
"We are state of the art and we offer many services as far as surgery. The digital x-ray, we have on site ultra sound. We have an orthopedic specialist that comes in and does surgeries. We have a traveling ultra-sound we have in house laboratories. So we offer many services that anybody can utilize," said Manager Kristina Sprengel.
Four Paws also caters to pet owners who work long hours or who are going on vacation. Their boarding program has become one of their most utilized services.
"We'll work the dog and play with him all day long. It is a really great service and people seem to enjoy it," Callanan said. "It is a major part of what we do. We will also take care of patients that need something a little extra ... We do all things to make sure that their stay is as comfortable as possible."
After over 70 years of animal care, the Four Paws Resort has become a well-known family favorite.
"The fact that we have been doing it for nearly 100 years says a lot," explained Callanan. "We have been doing this and we know what we are doing and the staff. These folks have been here for a long time. We don't have a lot of turn over. So, you will come in and see the same faces everyday."
