There are so many reasons to love the Ocean State and many have shown their admiration for local businesses online. The 'I Luv RI' Facebook page is full of different and unique local finds including a business that’s all about support.
What started in the spare bedroom of founder, Charlie Nault 's home has turned into a company that many Rhode Island businesses rely on.
“Back in 1987 Charlie founded this company on three core principles that we still live by today. Over the course of 25 years we obviously added more, but those were honesty, integrity, and to have a positive impact on the community,” said Melissa Delprete, senior marketing program manager at Atrion.
In a time when technology is everything, having IT support is crucial. “
We design, we implement, we ensure the adoption of, and we fully support the life cycle of technology through their business,” added Garry Foisy, senior director of strategic marketing.
Atrion emphasizes the importance of having a high caliber of employees.
"One of the things that we focus on is hiring the best possible people for our organization; train and develop them to become better skilled and to be more well rounded,” said CEO, Tim Hebert.
It's the people that make up their culture which is highly valued.
"We think, act, and communicate on a different level then a lot of our competition” said Executive partner, Todd Cronin. "We take the time to come in, understand exactly what the organization does, the industry they’re in, and also their three to five year strategic plan and how we can help them get there utilizing IT solutions”.
Even their work space is beneficial to their success.
"I would never want our employees to feel stifled or just a number and that's not what we've created here. We've created a place that people can come and they can feel happy when they wake up every day and come to the office” Delprete said.
Happy employees make the company run smooth. “There's no specific way to explain the feeling you get when you work here. It's more of a family than a company. Everybody cares about each other,” said Kenneth Norberg, support center associate.
Employees at Atrion have high hopes for the future.
"We think there's a great opportunity to grow, our headquarters will always remain here, we think there’s a great talent pool to pull from, and that with our investments that we are making in developing people we can achieve the culture we want and help us achieve our visions,” said Hebert.
