Many Rhode Islanders have lost power because of Hurricane Sandy. But, even if that's the case, you can still show your candy crusaders the way to your door for trick-or-treating.
Lifestyle expert Ken Maccarone joined The Rhode Show to demonstrate some ways to light up your Halloween decor without power.
Ghoulish Glow
Materials:
Plastic Round White Table Cloth
Mini Glow Stick (color your choice)
White/Clear Balloons
Fishing Line
Paper Clip/Safety Pin
Instructions:
Insert Mini Glow Stick into balloon.
Inflate Balloon
Place Plastic Table Cloth over Balloon
Attach Paperclip to top of balloon
Hang from Trees with Fishing line at different heights to create interest.
Light your Way
Materials:
White Paper Bags
Weights/Sand
LED Battery Lights
Black Cardstock
Instructions:
Cut out shapes to be used as faces on your bag.
Glue shapes on bags
Add weight to the bottom
Place LED Light in Bag
Line your pathway to your door
Witch way to Go
Materials:
Orange Paper Plates
Green Cardstock
Glow in the Dark Paint/Glow Stick
Instructions:
Cut stems out of Green Cardstock.
Glue Stem to top of the Plate
With the glow paint draw arrows or clues on how to find the candy.
