Media ladies host What Women Want Expo

The ladies of Cumulus Media host fall’s fiercest women's expo, The What Women Want Expo, presented by Alex and Ani.

Barbi Jo DiMaria and Deanna Cruz from Cumulus Radio told the Rhode Show more about the exclusive event.

From shopping to entertainment, the Women's Expo will have it all.

"We have a beauty lounge, we have shopping, we have entertainment that's world class ... We're going to have a bangle bar. You can go from the bangle bar to the actual bar ... I mean anything that women want, we have," said Barbi Jo.

"And firemen, they'll be there too," Deanna gushed to The Rhode Show. "I believe they'll be shirtless, I think. That's just a little rumor I heard."

The Expo will show the latest trends at their fashion show sponsored by Macy's. The show will showcase work and evening attire, and will also advice women on how to transition from one to another.  

The Sunday event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston.

On the main stage Zumba demonstrations will occur at noon and the fashion show with Macy's will happen at 2 p.m.

However, the main event will be occurring at 4pm on the main stage where X Factor's Melanie Amaro will be performing. People attending can also enter to win on site to meet her.

"This [expo] is so unique because it's put on by your local personalities. The talent you listen to everyday at 92 PRO FM, Lite Rock 105, and Hot 106," said Barbi Jo. "We're really putting our special touch on this expo."

The "What Women Want" Expo is an 18+ event. A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Women and Infant's Breast Health Center.
