Soccer season is in full swing and this weekend the New England Revolution is honoring our military at Gillette Stadium.
The Revolution’s goalkeeper, Matt Reis visited The Rhode Show to share more about the team as well as show off a few skills.
Reis has been playing professionally for 15 years and has spent the past 10 with the Revolution. Their season has been a bit up and down due to some changes taking place, but they’re coming off of a 4-1 win so they’re hopeful for their upcoming game.
The New England Revolution will play on Saturday, May 19th against the Houston Dynamo at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Local military, police, fire and first responders will be in attendance for the “Salute to out Heroes” game in conjunction with Armed Forces Day.
The Revolution in asking those in attendance to bring along old, used, and extra cell phones that will be given to soldiers and their families who are in need of this vital communication device.
In addition, a ceremony at halftime will celebrate the new recruits.
