(WPRI) -- Have you ever had some old items in your house that you thought could be worth some money?

If you answered yes, then Spindle City Precious Metals is holding an event this weekend that could greatly benefit you.

Spindle City recycles many different items, from metals such as gold and silver, to antique items such as guitars and comic books. Even if you're not sure if some of the items sitting in your attic or basement are worth anything, it's worth finding out.

"A lot of people actually don't know, and that's the reason to bring the items in," said Jason Andrzejczyk of Spindle City Precious Metals. "We'd be happy to look at them, appraise them for you, and some people are really excited by the denomination that they get at the end of the show."

Jason brought along a few items that commonly collect dust in people's homes, including a silverware set that can fetch about $2,000!
