(WPRI) -- We've all seen his work in many classic cartoons, including Scooby-Doo, Rugrats, Yellow Submarine, The Jetsons, and more.

The man who brought those characters to life, Ron Campbell, stopped by The Rhode Show to show us some of his artwork.

"This one I call 'The Unearthly Paradise' and I think it is kind of unearthly and it is like paradise to me anyway," he said. "I hope somebody who buys it thinks of it as paradise."

Campbell's career started in 1965 when he directed the Beatles TV show in Australia. He filled us in on what goes through his mind when he creates his artwork.

"I'm listening to music and I'm drawing. You draw and you draw and it's hypnotic," said Campbell. "That's what is going through my mind, I have no other way of explaining it."

Campbell showed us more of artwork, including his interpretations of "Hey Jude" and "Yellow Submarine" which can be found on YouTube.

His artwork will be featured in the Rock Art Show along with many other amazing pieces from famous rock musicians.

The show will take place at Cardi's Furniture in South Attleboro March 1 through March 3 and is free to the public. For more information, visit the Cardi's Furniture Community Calendar.
