(WPRI) -- A local animal sanctuary is preparing for a great family event seeking to raise money for animals in need.
Bonniedale Farm Animal Sanctuary , located at 1097 Chopmist Hill Rd. in North Scituate, is a non-profit organization that takes in all types of animals from all around the state and provides them with adequate food, shelter and care.
From live music to fun family activities, there will be a lot to do at the Bonniedale Farm Jamboree, all while helping animals. The event is Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"It's very difficult these days because a lot of people need help, and right now we're one of them," said Dan Mackenzie of Bonniedale Farm. "We helped out over 1,400 animals last year with our dog and cat food bank, and to continue that, we need help to raise funds to help the little bunnies, the horses, and everything in between."
For anyone looking to pet the animals and see the facilities, the farm is open seven days a week, 365 days a year.
To donate to Bonniedale Farm , just call Dan at (401) 574-6056.
